You are my Patient; you are not my Client

Updated: Oct 3, 2020

There has been a trend, especially in the cosmetic plastic surgery and aesthetics world, where those we treat are referred to as "clients," rather than patients.

When I founded Oculofacial Surgical Arts, I founded it with the central philosophy that the services and the treatments we provide - including cosmetic/aesthetic services - are provided first and foremost for the care of our patients. From the moment you walk in the door, we are devoted to taking care of you. In my practice, the culture is that you will be treated as a family member, with your care, your safety, your privacy, and your wellbeing as top priorities. Our focus is on your wellbeing, not your wallet.

As my patient, I want to ensure that you are satisfied with the treatment I have offered and with the natural results that we aim to achieve and that you deserve. If I do not believe you will benefit from a particular treatment, I will simply refuse to perform it. However, you will always find someone who would be willing to perform that procedure, even if you don’t need or qualify for it. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the number of times I have had patients return to see me unhappy with results of a procedure done elsewhere, which I had previously recommended against.

In my practice, you are MY PATIENT; you are NOT MY CLIENT. And I will care for you as such.

If you would like to be our patient, call us at 858.356.2647.
